Facebook: Cambridge Analytica Had Access to Data for 64,000 New Zealanders

Facebook's communications head for Australia and New Zealand, Antonia Sanda, said it will alert nearly 64,000 NZ Facebook users that their information was accessed by Cambridge Analytica. So reports the New Zealand Herald

Cambridge Analytica allegedly used the collected data to disseminate political "propaganda" advertisements during the 2016 general election in the U.S. According to the article, Facebook estimates 10 users downloaded an app developed by University of Cambridge professor Aleksandr Kogan, which, in turn, may have sparked the collection of information for approximately 1-in-50 New Zealand users.
