China Claims Two of the World's Biggest Brands

For the first time, China is home to two of the world's biggest brands. So reports CNN.

Alibaba and the tech group Tencent, are now among the world's largest companies as Alibaba has nearly doubled to $113 billion. Tencent is now fifth on that list behind Google, Apple, Amazon and Microsoft.

One industry professional noted many Chinese companies face an uphill battle due to limited international awareness, lack of trust and a reluctance from companies to invest in global advertising.

Google has held the top spot for eight of the past 12 years and is valued at $302 billion.
