The Internet of Things is expected to consist of 50 billion objects by 2020, which will impose a substantial strain on the web in the U.S. So reports Nextgov.com.

The Internet of Things refers to connecting an increasingly number of devices, such as cars, home security tools, retailing facilities, personal health monitoring tools, smart devices, and other items. With that in mind, AT&T is preparing for network traffic to increase approximately 10 times above current levels over the next five years.
