ePrivacy Regs Will Kill Innovation: Lobbyists

In the wake of Europe's new, broad privacy rule, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDRP), lobbyists are fighting against a second set of "ePrivacy" rules recently proposed by lawmakers. So reports Business Insider.

According to opponents, another set of regulations would "stifle innovation." The proposed regulations would target, specifically, communications metadata. Under the proposal, users would be given more control of their data and companies would require their consent to continue to collect their information.
