Snapchat Overcomes Resistance to Building Advertising Platform

Messaging system Snapchat has offered low-cost ads, opened local offices, and allowed third-party organizations to sell advertising on the system to greatly increase the revenue that the system generates. So reports The New York Times.

The platform also offers high levels of interaction, with industry observers pointing to the successful example of Snapchat allowing users to pour a virtual container of Gatorade on images of themselves.
