Some financial firms are reportedly exploring the possibility of using virtual reality-type technology to analyze the flood of information that will come their way in the next decade. This approach, of course, has implications for markering professionals. So reports Business Insider.

This approach will also enable both clients and advisors to be interactive and immersive. This, in turn, will lead to more opportunities in the future and will definitely be a game-changer, according to a number of experts.

For their part, TD Ameritrade and Fidelity, among others, have developed proof-of-concepts for VR or AR technology. They have used the technology for trading, education and other areas of the business. Bank of America is also working on improving its data visualization capabilities. It is using a popular gaming engine used by Fortnite and others called Unreal Engine.

While the push into VR and AR holds immense possibilities, the hardware is not yet sophisticated enough to be adopted fully by everyone, according to experts.
