Australian Gov't Directed $8.8M to U.S.-owned Media Giants

The Australian state government has spent millions in Google and Facebook advertisements in recent years; nearly triple what it has spent in local media. So reports WAtoday.

In the last two years, the government spent $8.8 million on U.S.-based media platforms including social media companies Twitter and Instagram. The largest spender was the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, totaling $1.8 million in buys.
