The United Kingdom's Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB UK) recently hosted a marketing trends seminar aimed at "attribution, automation, longtail and global forecasts." So reports PerformanceIN.

The late-March seminar, sponsored by performance marketing platform CAKE, featured a series of 20-minute sessions and subsequent interactive debate. Some of the topics discussed include: 

  • Increased efficiency
  • Allowing smaller companies to compete with larger advertising firms
  • Moving away from "last click"
  • Leveraging the power of content affiliates 

The participants also discussed data protection and letting go of the "nostalgia" of marketing as a "people-based industry," the article reads.
