After observing Amazon.com build a huge advertising business, traditional retailers such as Walmart, Target Corp., Kroger Co. and Ahold Delhaize are pitching similar services to big brands. So reports the Northwest Herald.

Unlike Facebook and Google, brick and mortar retailers say they have an advantage because they can pitch advertisements based on what consumers have purchased.
