Apple is expected next month to announce a subscription news service that is being met with angst from media executives who are unhappy because of the proposed revenue sharing for the new offering. So reports BuzzFeed News.

Apple would reportedly keep half of the $10 monthly subscription fee and divvy the remaining money up among news providers based on levels of engagement that each publisher generates.
