CMO Role is Exhilarating and Challenging at the Same Time

Being a CMO in today’s environment can be both exciting and challenging at the same time. That’s due, in part, to the fact that the CMO role is evolving, according to Rose Hamilton, founder and CEO of Compass Rose Ventures and a former CMO. So reports CMS Wire.

Growing a business is the number one role of a CMO so it is important to identify how they can generate a pipeline and revenue. Finding an efficient way to use technology is the key to generating revenue, said Norman Guadagno, chief marketing officer of Acoustic, a marketing technology provider.

Collaboration for marketing operations should also be top priority. Guadagno further believes the continual pursuit of product improvement is critical. Guadagno built his career in technology. He strongly believes that you don’t have to get the newest technology to keep up with the market. As long as 80% of a desired task is accomplished, he believes that the current technology still works.
