Impossible Foods Brings in New CMO as Plant-Based Meats Slump

Impossible Foods has named Leslie Sims, currently U.S. chief creative officer at Deloitte Digital, as its chief marketing officer at a time when the plant-based meat segment is seeing sales drop. So reports Food-NavigatorUSA.com.

Impossible FoodsSims, who starts in the role effective January 1, has prior food industry experience with General Mills, Burger King and Macaroni Grill.

Impossible Foods CEO Peter McGuinness said that despite challenges for the category, the company was committed to the marketing expenditure needed to bring its plant-based meat “to the masses.”
