Sandals Resorts, Marie Curie, Jaguar Land Rover, and a handful of other major brands are reviewing their advertising programs after their ads inadvertently appeared on websites or YouTube videos for pro-Islamic state terrorists or other extremist groups. So reports Warc.

Such ads have the potential to generate funds for the extremists hosting the sites or social media channels. Some industry experts maintain that rather than trying to save money with programmatic advertising, brands should instead work with verified advertising agencies and tech providers.
