U.S. Indicts Suspects in $30M Pornhub Ad Scam

The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted a handful of Russian individuals suspected of generating $30 million in a digital advertising scam that involved computers that were infected with malware when individuals visiting Pornhub thought they were downloading legitimate browser extensions. So reports Forbes.

The scam involved creating bogus IP addresses, loading advertisements on phony websites, and claiming that the content was viewed by individuals.
