Dentsu Plans to Slash Workforce As Earnings Drop in Some Markets

Japanese advertising company Dentsu is planning to lay off 11% of its workforce across seven markets. So reports the Straits Times.

arrow down icon 157360 1280Recently, the company cut its earnings forecast due to “ongoing under-performance of some markets over the recent quarters.” As such, it is restructuring and working on a number of strategic initiatives toward the implementation of a new business model. In total, about 1,400 jobs are expected to be eliminated.
