Disney Slashing Facebook Advertising

Disney is one of the many companies that has slashed its advertising on Facebook. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

mickey mouse 2732231 640Starbucks, Unilever Verizon, and Ford are among the companies that have boycotted the social media outlet because of its stance on hate speech, misinformation, and other content. Facebook has more than $70 billion in annual advertising revenue, generated from over eight million advertisers.

However, Disney’s cutback is particularly worrisome to the social media platform because Disney is the leading advertiser on their platform, according to Pathmatics Inc.

The Journal cited anonymous sources. This cutback has not been publicly announced.
