Majority of Australian Households Pay for VoD: Research

Totaling 12.3 million subscriptions, more than half of Australian households have a video on demand (VOD) service. So reports the Australia's ABC News.

The survey, which was conducted by Telsyte, also found that 43% of Australian households have more than one VOD service. It also shows a rise in on-demand services that are “shaking up the television advertising market.” Further, television advertising revenue dropped more than 4% last financial year in regional and metro markets, but broadcaster video ad revenue surged 32%.
